Yorkshire Rose Quilters are in engaged in supporting their local community thorough sewing project donations and fundraising projects

Community Partners that we donate to:

RED DOOR FAMILY SHELTER

Red Door provides emergency shelter and support for women and children affected by domestic abuse, families experiencing a housing crisis, and refugee claimants with nowhere else to turn.

Our prolific and generous Guild members contribute child/youth and larger
quilts to be given to families to use whilst at the shelter and when they
transition to permanent housing.


TRUE DAVIDSON MEALS ON WHEELS ( EAST YORK )

This service provides meals at cost to all household adults which includes
seniors, new mothers and disabled individuals.

The Guild membership contributes colourful placemats to be included int he Christmas baskets delivered to clients over the holiday.


ROSALIE HALL

Rosalie Hall is an accredited client-centred infant and early childhood mental health organization which supports pregnant and parenting
adolescents, aged 12-25, their children and families.

Twice a year, varied and cheerful baby and young children’s quilts made
and donated by Guild members are delivered to the centre.
Part of each expectant mother’s baby shower is a YRQG baby quilt.


CHILDREN’S HOSPITALS

Members sew fun, colourful pillowcases for children in hospitals with
cancer or other life challenging illnesses.
